The purpose of this research is to provide a critical analysis of learning in a university setting. The focus is on cultural diversity, which includes linguistic and traditional heritage related to the success of university students. Perspectives of Indigenous peoples in Canada and Hawaii are examined in the analysis of issues of identity, social order, and language in the environment for learners in the university setting. This research identifies the need for a critical evaluation on education policy and development for cultural and linguistic inclusion in both the curriculum and university environment.
